For over fifty year British manufacturer Dualit has been producing toasters of the highest quality. Dualit machines are gleaming, sturdy, tough as old boots and turn out hundreds of crisp, golden slices per hour.
It should come as no surprise that the man who invented the Dualit toaster was an engineer. In 1946, Max Gort-Barten produced the original Dualit toaster at his workshop in London. Combining strength, versatility and ingenuity it was a toaster to set new standards. Soon the original model was followed by a commercial toaster, incorporating a time switch among its many original features.
Manually operated and designed for heavy-duty use, each Dualit Toaster is a blend of the simple and highly sophisticated. On one hand, they retain the stay-warm mechanical ejector they've always had. On the other hand, the new patented ProHeat element uses a radical new heat pattern, encapsulated in a specially developed, high performance material, giving it a unique, protective layer.
Today Dualit toasters are recognised as perhaps the best in the world. Part of a range of hard working products, they are designed to a standard that remains unsurpassed.
